A day out...part two.

While the year 9 pupils were getting to know each other, the year 10 pupils were beginning their debating competition with the Lycée students.
Each team was composed of four pupils: two from Year 10, one from year 11 and one from year 12!
The teams all competed in 2 or 3 different debates and the winner from each debate went forward to the next round. At the beginning there were 16 teams.

In the afternoon, before the debate final, the Year 10 pupils were given the opportunity to watch the sketches written and performed by the Year 9, Year 11 and Year 12 pupils.

After the sketches, all the pupils from the different schools came together to share a musical moment with our Year Ten pupil, Charlotte M who accompanied us on her guitar. Everyone had a great time singing along to one of our favourite English singers of the moment: Bruno Mars!
Thank you Charlotte!
After the singing, all the pupils went to the Lycée's cafeteria to see the grand final of the debating competition involving the year Ten pupils along with the year 11 and 12 pupils from Verneuil.

The final was a debate in English that lasted about 10 minutes. Here is a photo of the winning team.

This final was followed by one last musical moment but this time led by the older pupils, one of whom was really great on the electric guitar. This time we all sang along to Pharrell Williams' "Happy". And we were all very happy after such an interesting day.
